With ‘To-Go’ In Mind, JTR Group Opens Caffe & Boutique Market
Justin Thompson Restaurant Group recently opened a new Italian caffe and market attached to Tavolo Italian Bistro in downtown Tulsa at 5th and Boston.
A wonderful espresso bar offers a variety of cold and hot drinks available to grab and go or enjoy over a newspaper or magazine at the beautiful wood bar or cozy tables facing Boston. While enjoying your drink, you can also satisfy the “I really shouldn’t but” cravings and choose from a variety of freshly baked goods such as sausage rolls, savory rolls, scones, cupcakes, macarons, assorted cookies, tiramisu, tarts and other delicious treats.
Seasonal breakfast and lunch menus will change every couple of weeks. There will be an assortment of breakfast and lunch paninis, sandwiches, quiches, salads, wraps, and a ‘slow cooker of the day’ such as the Marsala Pork Sandwich that was on the December menu. With ‘to-go’ in mind, items are designed to be taken quickly and easily. Breakfast items have included Pancetta Panini, Hoagie Hash and the healthy Steel Cut Oatmeal while lunch items have featured Italian Chicken BLT, Italian Club and Caprese Panini.
A variety of local milk, cheeses, cured meats, in house made dressings, sauces, fresh baked breads and snacks, candies, and an assortment of gift items can be found in the boutique market. This allows those who live or work downtown the ease of picking up a wonderful dinner or to simply add something to the pantry or fridge. If you’re looking for unique gift ideas, JTR Group has packaged popular items into beautiful gift boxes that anyone would enjoy receiving, such as olive oil, seasonings, rubs and sauces.
“I’m excited to see this market open. I think it will provide the residents of the Deco District with the convenience of being able to stock their pantries with JTR goodies, or grab a half gallon of milk, instead of having to drive out of downtown” says Proprietor Chef Justin Thompson. “People that work in the area will have a new option for coffee and snacks as well. It’s a needed addition to this district and we’re happy to be providing it.”
