Spring is in the air and the outdoors beckons us to enjoy all that nature has to offer. The warmth of the sun encourages new plantings to sprout, mama birds are teaching their young to fly and we are encouraged to plant flowers, take walks, or adventurously take a road trip to visit a land of the unknown.  The April issue features eating fresh with Scissor Tail Farms. There is also a feature on how The Farm Shopping Center, originally built in the country and now surrounded by suburbia, maintains its original character. We’ve highlighted a couple of the stores at The Farm that focus on a natural lifestyle. Backwoods has everything the outdoor enthusiast could dream of and Theraganics manufactures natural skin care products right on site.

Enjoy reading about Wink Optique which recently opened in south Tulsa. And last but far from least, April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This is a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families. Consider supporting the Can Superhero Challenge and CANdlelight Ball, two very worthy causes that need support.

Enjoy the April issue.
