June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month
In June there is an opportunity to join the Alzheimer’s Association® in a conversation about the brain, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Everyone who has a brain is at risk to develop Alzheimer’s, a fatal disease that is often misunderstood. During the month of June, the Alzheimer’s Association asks people to share the truth about Alzheimer’s disease and take action.
The Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter will go purple throughout the month of June in an effort to spread information and awareness to the 62,000 Oklahomans living with Alzheimer’s disease and their 222,000 unpaid caregivers. Educational classes including Know the 10 Signs and Effective Communication are offered throughout the year, but in June the focus is on 10 Ways to Love Your Brain and Healthy Living for Brain & Body. Attend a free class in June or schedule a presentation for your organization. Call 800.272.3900 or email Admin@Alz.org.
