Tulsa Foundation for Architecture Wraps Film Festival Weekend

Film fans, students, architects and designers, and those who were curious about what topics possibly could be included in an architecture and design film festival, braved stormy Tulsa weather to pack the Circle Cinema, April 20-23. The Architecture & Design Film Festival:Tulsa, presented by Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, showcased a range of films devoted to the creative spark that produces awe-inspiring and enduring work and ideas.

The ADFF:Tulsa lineup included beautifully shot films like Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw the Future. The film’s director, Peter Rosen, spoke following the sold-out screening. Films covered fiber arts, garden and furniture design, photography and social architecture. Other films offered portraits of famous architects, like Getting Frank Gehry. Pulitzer Prize-winning architecture critic Paul Goldberger, who authored a book on Gehry, shared commentary and signed books. The major sponsor for the inaugural four-day event was the Raymond and Bessie Kravis Foundation.
