The Latest in Research-Based Chiropractic Care

Tulsans looking to stay or get back on the road to good health have a new tool to help them achieve their goals.

Inside Out Chiropractic, which opened June 26 at The Vineyard on Memorial, 7891 E. 108th St., offers practice members the latest in research-based chiropractic care in a caring, family-friendly environment.

Inside Out, which is operated by Dr. Jacob Duvall and practice manager KyLeigh Duvall, welcomes members of all ages, from infants to senior citizens.

Many people associate chiropractic care with lots of cracking, popping and twisting, but at Inside Out, Dr. Duvall specializes in a unique chiropractic method known as Torque Release Technique, or TRT, which involves a gentler approach. TRT uses a specially designed, FDA-approved adjustment instrument known as the Integrator, to correct subluxations (spinal misalignments) and regulate the function of the underlying nervous system, leading to improved health.

“Removing subluxations allows the body to heal faster,” Dr. Duvall explained.

While the Dr. Duvall often sees practice members with common issues such as headaches, backaches or neck pain, those aren’t the only health concerns that can be addressed through chiropractic care. Both lifelong athletes, the Duvalls say chiropractic care can benefit those involved in sports, as well as those just starting out on a path toward a healthier lifestyle. Even such varied health concerns as anxiety or digestive issues can benefit from chiropractic methods.

“We focus on nerve interference – when your nervous system is at 100 percent, you achieve optimal health,” Kyleigh Duvall said.

Inside Out Chiropractic also offers pregnancy-related and pediatric chiropractic care to its members. Dr. Duvall has undergone additional training to provide specialized care for pediatric practice members and is certified in the Webster technique, a prenatal chiropractic method certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

First-time visitors to Inside-Out Chiropractic are greeted in a comfortable, open reception area that includes a convenient, card-swipe check-in system; research literature that explains the benefits of chiropractic care and how it can improve health; and a testimonial wall featuring the stories of practice members whose health concerns were addressed and corrected through the TRT chiropractic method.

Practice members are then given a tour of the facility, during which they will learn about the specific chiropractic methods used by Dr. Duvall. Following the tour, practice members will go over their health history, discuss specific concerns and undergo an in-depth chiropractic evaluation and a neurological assessment.

The neurological assessment is conducted with the help of NASA Space Foundation-certified equipment, which performs a scan of the spinal column from the base of the skull to the base of the back. If necessary, practice members may undergo a diagnostic x-ray of the spinal column at Inside Out’s on-site, digital postural x-ray suite, eliminating the need for a trip to a separate imaging center.

Once the evaluation process and diagnostic procedures are complete, practice members will sit down with Dr. Duvall to go over their principal doctor’s report and discuss the findings of the neurological assessment and x-rays. Together with Dr. Duvall, practice members will formulate a plan for addressing and correcting their specific health needs. Rather than a one-size-fits-all corrective approach, each plan is tailored to that specific practice member and his or her health needs.

“We want our practice members to feel like they’re making an informed decision about their health,” KyLeigh Duvall says of the individual-centered approach.

In addition to providing the latest in neurologically-based chiropractic care, the Duvalls also participate in community outreach events, screening events and speaking engagements at local businesses, schools and houses of worship, educating the public on better health practices and the benefits of chiropractic care.

“We want to be a beacon of hope for the
community,” KyLeigh Duvall said.
