Benefitting Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma

In our 26th year, founded by innovative women with a focus on the next generation, the Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 19, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at Southern Hills Country Club, 2636 East 61st Street in Tulsa.

This year, we will recognize the accomplishments of 12 extraordinary Girl Scouts from eastern Oklahoma who are receiving higher education scholarships. Awarding scholarships to graduating Girl Scouts helps them to pursue education which is one of the most critical components of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

We are pleased to announce, Sharon King Davis is our honorary chair. Through her leadership to develop the Tulsa Historical Society & Museum and her service on many community committees and boards, Sharon has helped both to sustain Tulsa and to extend its legacy. Our keynote speaker is Bonnie St. John, a paralympian, Rhodes Scholar, entrepreneur and author. Micro-Resilience, her most recent book was published last year and continues to land on best-seller lists.

In addition to providing scholarships, this event sustains the Girl Scout Leadership Experience which includes our four pillars: STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), outdoor enrichment, entrepreneurship and life skills. This past year our Girl Scouts went backpacking and canyoneering through Utah, visited Greece, Italy and Colorado, assisted NASA with space education and so much more.
