Spring into Summer

MAY IS A TIME OF CELEBRATIONS. Graduations, weddings, festival season and warm
weather bring out the best in food and drink, music, traditions, art, and sporting events
and activities giving everyone a reason to get out and have fun. Check the local venues for
concerts featuring the likes of Justin Timberlake and Loretta Lynn. Games for the sports enthusiast
include the Tulsa Athletic, Tulsa Roughnecks, Tulsa Drillers and the Summit League
Baseball Championship at Oral Roberts. Stroll through one of the nearby farmer’s markets
for fresh produce at Cherry Street, Brookside, The Farm, the Rose District and Jenks to name
a few. Besides the major festivals listed at the end of the magazine, there are lots of other
events like The Breeder’s Invitational at Tulsa Expo Square or fundraising galas like White
Party Eleven benefiting Family & Children’s Services, and The Pawparazzi Gala for animals.
May is also a time to celebrate strong women. All women including CEO’s, Entrepreneurs,
Advocates, Teachers, and even Moms are the strong women making a positive difference
in our community today and for a better tomorrow.
The May issue features a group of women ‘Movers & Shakers’, a girl’s only weekend, and a
delicious brunch. Have you heard about The Galley? It’s reinventing the kitchen industry. After
reading about it, you may start planning your kitchen renovation sooner than you thought.
