“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –H. Jackson Brown, J

I remember my mom packing up the big old convertible with suitcases and 5 kids and dragging the pop up camper behind it for the trek to the Jersey shore every summer where we would find a camp ground and have the time of our lives for 2 weeks. I also remember my kids telling me that their best times growing up were at the little house with the in-ground pool in the backyard where they would have friends over, non-stop, all summer long and swim their hearts out.

Going away on vacation opens up whole new worlds and places you never imagined existed. You meet and learn to understand people from various cultures, learn about their customs and try food native to the area. Travel allows one to dream and be inspired but it’s also a time to have fun and relax. A staycation in your back yard or the hotel down the street on the other hand is enjoying life all the time. How fun to come home from work and jump in the pool or just sit and relax by the water reading a book.

The July issue features a south Broken Arrow home with a stunning backyard, a company who can build your backyard dream and an exotic trip down under. We hope you get inspired and plan your next vacation or staycation.
