Pancakes for Pooches October 13th

Enjoy a great pancake breakfast fundraiser hosted by the firemen at Tulsa Fire Station #32, on 91st between Sheridan & Yale, to support Benjamin’s Biscuit Acres Dog Park. The event is Saturday October 13th from 8-11 a.m. Meet the firemen, tour the station, and enjoy raffles and door prizes! Holland Hall ARTworks Announces Workshop and Gallery Opening

Local Artist Integrates Science with Art

Holland Hall will feature local photographer Bob Sober in a unique residency/workshop program at its ARTworks Holliman Gallery Exhibit Oct.22-Nov. 20. Sober specializes in macro photography of insects. During his residency, he will collaborate with science teachers and students and explore the nearly 160 acres surrounding the campus to teach them about insects.

The gallery will feature insects on display and will be available for purchase. The exhibit is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and is free to the public.

 

Patron Workshop held Oct. 27

ARTworks has been a Holland Hall tradition since 1977 and hosts a professional artist-in-residence who spends a week working with students. “Through our ARTworks program we’re able to meet and learn from so many talented artists,” said Steve Dyer, Director of Holland Hall’s Walter Arts Center.

A Patron Workshop is available to adults on Oct. 27 and will offer ARTworks Patrons one-on-one time with Sober, a chance to learn photography techniques and how to best capture moments of nature. For more information or to become a Patron visit HollandHall.org.
