Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon, Workshop & Book Signing

The 27th annual Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon will present 13 Girl Scouts with college scholarships.

 

Our keynote speaker this  year is former Girl Scout, Meridith Rojas, co-founder and CEO of DigiTour Media and author of Selfie Made.

 

Event Details: 11:00 am., Thursday, April 18 at Southern Hills Country Club, 2636 East 61 St.

 

Girl Scouts will also be partnering with Magic City Books to offer a 90-minute workshop and book signing with Meridith the evening after the luncheon at the UMAC  at 61 and Mingo from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 

We’ll be having a conversation about using the internet safely, creatively and entrepreneurially to create an online brand. Tickets are $20 for one or $70 for a family of four.

Teams Race Head-to-Head and Bed-to-Bed for Families in Medical Crisis

Registration is open for the 5th annual Rt 66 Gurney Tourney, Tulsa’s most unique team race event, held Saturday, May 11 at the University of Tulsa at 10 a.m. This unique team racing event, hosted by Hospitality House of Tulsa, features gurney-style beds pushed by three team members with one alternate, while a fifth team member rides on the bed throughout an exciting race track and obstacle course.

Early race registration is open to the public through Saturday, March 27. The event is an excellent team-building opportunity for business, church, and family groups alike. Additional ways to get involved include volunteering and corporate sponsorships.

Proceeds benefit Hospitality House of Tulsa, a nonprofit organization providing home-like lodging, meals, prayer support, transportation assistance, and other much-needed services to nearly 1000 families traveling from 30+ miles away for critical medical care. Many of these families sleep in hospital waiting rooms or their vehicles.
