Holland Hall presents Daniel Lerner: Speaker, Author, Coach

Can success and happiness coexist? According to positive psychologist Daniel Lerner, we can all accomplish our career goals and live well.

The Holland Hall Kistler-Gilliland Center for the Advancement of Learning program is proud to welcome Daniel Lerner, January 5, 2020, 7:30-9 p.m., in the Lawson Conference Room in the Tandy on campus.

A psychology professor, strengths-based performance coach, and expert on all things positive, Dan Lerner studies the ways happiness influences our success. Lerner co-authored the book, “U Thrive: How to Succeed in College and in Life,” alongside his teaching partner Dr. Alan Schlechter, a leading child and adolescent psychologist. A comprehensive guide through the often unforeseen demands of college life, U Thrive is filled with fascinating research and real-life anecdotes to help students build life-long positive habits that will endure past graduation.

The event is free and open to the public.

Heller Theatre Company announces new program: Heller Launchpad

As Heller Theatre Company continues our the third season as Tulsa’s home for new works, it is expanding its services to better serve the Tulsa community. The new program, titled “Heller Launchpad,” will provide resources to those in the Tulsa community who wish to self-produce a new work. There is currently no place in Tulsa to aid artists wanting to self-produce a new work. Heller Launchpad looks to change that by providing artists with helpful resources including: connections to talented theatre technicians and actors, marketing and public relations assistance, use of our established brand as “Tulsa’s Home for New Works,” budgeting assistance, and negotiating discounted rates for performance venue, crew and rehearsal space. Heller Launchpad will also allow for playwrights to discuss their scripts and receive advice from Playwright-in-Residence Shadia Dahlal and Dramaturg Michael Wright.

Applications for the Heller Launchpad for the 2020-2021 season will be accepted through July 31, 2020. For more information, visit HellerTheatreCo.com/launchpad or email hellertheatre@gmail.com.
